How to Have Healthy Hair

Shiny, bouncy, healthy hair is what every woman wants to have. Unfortunately, not everyone is born with such good genes. There are ladies with sleek, straight hair while there are others with unruly curls.  Then there are those with dull and limp hair who look to buy the latest best selling hair straightener. You can have that beautiful hair you have always wanted if you just follow these simple tips for hair care:

Eat healthy and take some vitamins. Technically, your hair is made up of keratin just like your fingernails. Keratin is a type of protein that is composed of amino acids and is produced in your body; and although the cells within your hair are already dead, it is still connected to hair follicles. These hair follicles are attached to sebaceous glands that produce oil and make the hair shiny. Anyway, to be able to maintain a healthy hair, you must eat foods that are rich in vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin B, and vitamin D. You must also intake vitamins and supplements. If your body is healthy, your hair will also be healthy.

Massage your scalp. This hair care advice is usually neglected. People think that massaging the scalp does nothing for the hair; when in reality, this helps in making hair thicker, stronger, and fast-growing. If you massage your scalp in a circular manner, you will stimulate its blood supply. You will also be relieved from stress, so your hair will look better. You can massage your scalp using virgin coconut oil, or you can massage it while shampooing.

Keep your hair clean. Well, this hair care tip is very obvious. Of course, you must shampoo regularly. However, you must not overdo it. If you shampoo too often, your hair will be dry.

Have your hair trimmed. The ends of your hair are the driest and the oldest. Therefore, they are very prone to split ends. So, if you want your hair to grow longer and better, you have to visit the salon once every two months.
